Fiat Automobiles is the largest automobile manufacturer in Italy. In 1999 was founded the Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili Torino (FIAT in Italian). In 2014, was founded FCA, an Italian-American multinational corporation by merging Fiat and Chrysler into a new holding company.
The company’s portfolio includes automotive brands Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, and Ram Trucks. Ferrari was spun off from the group in 2016.
On 31 October 2019, FCA announced intent to merge with Groupe PSA (owner of the Peugeot and Citroën brands among others).
